Content Inside: Trust in the Lord In all interpretation of the Bible, Jesus is the key to all understanding. It could be that He is the one who is the fulfillment of the prophecy. He could also be the revealer or the one who explains the prophecy. In all our efforts to understand the Bible, Jesus ought to be the number one. This book has been written under the motto of the following text from Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." With this attitude the blessings are pronounced and the understanding is enhanced and we will automatically get an openness to a new and deeper experience of the Truth which is Jesus Christ Himself. If we are one with Christ, separating issues in belief or dogma tends to be secondary and these issues can be promoted and presented as a testimony or blessing instead of being done in a hostile way. Jesus never told us to go out in the world to preach a belief system. In Mark 16:15 we read: "He said to them, `Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.'" We are supposed to present the gospel to the world according to Jesus' own words. Trust in Him in this issue and His blessing will flow in your heart. With that openness in our hearts and with the Bible passages we have studied, we have to realize that according to Jesus' own words He may return in an hour we least expect Him to come. It will be a surprise for believers as well as for unbelievers. When it comes to the timing of His return, no one is able to read all the signs and interpret them correctly and determine from them when His coming will be. Therefore, we are encouraged not to listen to messages proclaiming the exact day of His coming since it is against the many texts in the Bible. However, we know enough from the words of Jesus' own mouth "how" the conditions will be at the end of age, and those texts seems to be fulfilled to 100% today. Everything goes on as usual and everybody is busy with his own life. Not even a terrible accident, murder or weather catastrophe seems to change our plans. We have also studied about the terrible end times; and even in that aspect we have been given the insight that it is fulfilled today. The knowledge gained from the parables of Jesus has wonderful spin-off effect on our understanding of the Books of Daniel and Revelation. The order of the chapters in Revelation has an inspiring harmony with the parables of Jesus and leads us to realize how organized God is. God is waiting for the time to be "full" or complete, and only He knows when His return will be. With this understanding, we need to be ready for His second coming every day. Trust Him, that He has a perfect plan and timing. Often bad things are predicted for the future. Too many concentrate on persecution and calamities and believe them to be the signs of the end. It might be in that way, but let not this picture take over so you get paralyzed or depressed. Actually the Bible is describing the severe calamities to take place after His coming and not before. All the severe calamities, plagues and trumpets will occur after His visible return in the sky. If you have given your heart to Jesus today, why worry for tomorrow? Trust Him, that He is the Shelterer, Protector and Lifegiver and that He has a wonderful plan for you. It is crucial for us to know that He will come back in the same way as He ascended. He will come in a cloud with all the angels around Him and sitting on His throne in all His glory. His coming will be visible for all living human beings at the same time and it will be as the lightning that goes from the east to the west. No man will be confused since everyone clearly will recognize His coming regardless of Bible knowledge. We will either rejoice in our hearts that our Redeemer is back or we will be filled with fear when we sense the upcoming of His wrath. No one can escape this event. 1
